2023-2024 Silbiger Grant is accepting applications!

The next granting period of the Silbiger Grant for voices and viols is now open. Submit your application for performances in the 2023-2024 academic year by April 15.  Consult the full page about this program for full information and to submit your application!

The Silbiger grant provides $150 each for up to six viol players to help fund a performance of music for voices and viols. Any kind of performance will do, but the original intent of the grant was to help bring viol music into a church music setting. The application is a partnership between a sponsoring organization, typically a church choir, and a pre-formed group of viol players, the leader of whom receives an extra stipend for their role in organization.
