Registration Deadline: December 31, 2011

Music Director:Wendy Gillespie
Local Coordinator: Sybil Kevy

An antiphon ("Da pacem Domine"), a basse danse tenor line (La Spagna), and a song (Comme femme desconfortée), join together for the first time to bring you a day of playing wonderful, varied, little known music. Much of it is by famous composers such as Isaac, Josquin, Ferrabosco I, and Lassus, but it has been sitting in heavy tomes on library shelves waiting to be put into parts for Boston's viol community to bring it to life. This is the moment! Please join facultyWendy Gillespie, Carol Lewis, Sarah Mead, Laura Jeppesen, and Jane Hershey for a day of introduction to beautiful new old music.

This workshop is open to voices and to instruments other than viols. Please note that the pitch standard is a=440.

As usual there will be a class for beginning viol if there are enough registrants.
