El Dorado Ensemble: “Balli e Lamenti”: Italian dances, florid music & laments for voice, viols & percussion. Performed by Burcu Gulec, mezzo-soprano & George Lernis, percussion, plus El Dorado Ensemble (Carol Lewis, Janet Haas, Paul Johnson, Mai-Lan Broekman & Alice Mroszczyk, viols; Olav Chris Henriksen, lute & theorbo), with music by Striggio, Kapsperger & Piccinini, and a special performance of Monteverdi’s “Lamento d’Arianna”.
